About Me
ABOUT US
We are an openminded french couple leaving in Nice on the French Riviera coast. We work in this area for 10 years. Delphine is from Paris, and I, from Pau (south east of France).
From my side, I moved a lot when I was younger. I lived in Senegal, Guadeloupe, South Africa and Canada. From Delphine side, she moved a little and our trip in India last year, has been revelation for her.
As you could understand, we like to travel and discover new culture, way of life, city or country. For this reason, we are really motivated to get exchanges with people and we foresee to make a world trip starting in summer 2016. We are going to travel around Asia and South America.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
We have a lot of experiment of backpackers, but we have never been hosted in Couchsurfing. However, we already hosted people in Nice. That is a great feeling to exchange with people who also wants to exchange.
By those experiments, we discover that it was a real pleasure to share time with other openminded people.
Couchsurfing is in same time an opportunity to discover local people, in particular their way of life, and also reduce costs of a trip. For sure, we absolutely do not consider the host as a hotel and for this we are glad to participate at the life of our host and cook our favorite French plates.
Interests
We like photo, movies, music, books, cook, history, nature activities and for sure discover in all the way of. We think that the world is here to be learnt, from countries, but also from people.
However, when she likes yoga and meditation, I prefer hikes and nature places. Moreover, when she is a good cooker for salted plates, I am better for deserts.
Regarding the trip field, when we visit, we want first to learn about the habits and local food. We also like to know about the history of the city or country

Music, Movies, and Books
Obviously, Delphine and I, have different preferences, mainly in movies and music. She prefers love movies and I prefer dramatic ones. Also, she prefers jazz and R&B music and I prefer soundtrack music or "techno" as David Guetta. She loves to read of kind novels whereas I prefers biographic or historic ones.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
A lot in our memories!
In sports, we did paragliding, bungee jumping, parachute jump, parasailing.
In nature, we saw the big fives in South Africa, hikes around the monkeys in India, boat around the whales in Canada, also hikes around the bear in the Rockies, houseboat in the Backwaters of India around birds.
And other, I am sure, easier to let you know during our exchanges :)
Teach, Learn, Share
We think that share with people is the way to learn and teach. We can discuss our point of view, our way of life and give our knowledge about our experiments, mainly for cooking, if you want to cook Nice favorite plates :)
We also, want to exchange about languages. We want to practice as soon as we can. About learning, Delphine is concentrated in English and Spanish and for my side in Chineese and Spanish. I also learnt Japonese (2 years) but 13 years ago, but I forgot a lot.
We are motivated to find associations to help people who need help. Either by the material way (build stuffs), or by the intellectual way (teach language, cook, play music or other).
What I Can Share with Hosts
When you come to us in Nice, max 2 people for 2/3 nights, we have a private room 1 bed for 2. We welcome you and share time with you to discover each other. We can give you some ideas to visit the area.
We have a main condition to respect our "couch surfing" philosophy ; have an exchange from both side. You learn about us, we learn about you. We can for example share time by cooking a typical plates respectively from our areas :)
