We are Helen & Nico a pair of travellers who love exploring new places and meeting new people. We’ve been working in diving in Indonesia and decided to take a break from the water and travel for a while before we take our next jobs. Nico is French (with perfect English), Helen is English (with terrible but endearing attempts at French). Both of us are pretty easy going and don’t mind roughing it - outdoor sleeping, camping, mattresses on the floor all in our experience.
We both are really into diving, ocean conservation, marine life, travel, good food (and wine!), cooking, surfing, hiking, beaches, mountains, exploring cities, having fun nights out dancing (Nico likes to think he’s an amazing dancer and will spin you around the dance floor until you feel sick!) being active and adventurous and finding out lots about the places we visit.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because we think it’s a great way to allow people who don’t earn a lot of money to travel widely whilst meeting interesting people and sharing the place that you live in a way that many tourists dont get to experience.

Taken people diving in some of the strongest currents in the world - seeing Sharks, Manta Rays, Turtles and more... everyone has come back alive... so far ...

Teach, Learn, Share

Nico is a good photographer, a big engineering geek (motorbikes in particular), really likes climbing and has done a big world trip previously. He likes fishing, and is into cooking (including what he’s caught). He likes to share his knowledge about all this stuff (sometimes too much!) if it’s helpful to people.
Helen loves yoga and is a level 2 teacher she is interested in mind-body connection. She has worked in the education charity sector in the UK and Vietnam and is a former Maths Teacher. She loves cooking and has some great veggie and vegan recipes (although both of us eat everything!)
