About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I am studying a Master in Development in The Hague, Netherlands. I'll be in The Hague for a year and then I'll move to York, England. Im a journalist and a political scientist, but basically I'm just living an experience away from my normal and working life in my country.
ABOUT ME
I am a journalist who worked during three years in the most important magazine in Colombia, writing articles about the internal war in my country. I studied also Political Science and worked for a year in the Friedrich Ebert Foundation. I lived in London during two years when I decided to quite my job. Needless to say I am a open minded, chilled, who do not disturb others and I hope nobody bothers me. I believe in freedom as the most important thing in life, but I also appreciate the fact of not taking life too seriously so I love sarcastic people and black humour. I like a good beer (specially bitter ones) but I have to confess that I'm a whisky lover. Obviously I love traveling and in some ways I'd rather to travel alone cause that allow me to go wherever and whenever I want.
The last thing: three years ago I decided to grow my beard so probably if you see me in person I look a bit different. I'm just lazy to update my profile picture!!!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've couchsurfed in Berlin, Budapest and Madrid, and all of them have been really good experiences. I've also hosted some people when I was living in London and I had a couch surfer from Italy who became a really good friend: we still keep in touch and thanks to the couch surfing experience he decided to live in Colombia for a while.
Interests
This question is kind of broad because there are plenty of things that I enjoy. But without doubt what I enjoy the most is music in all its ways, from classical to punk and hard rock. I just cant live without music, my brother is a musician and during all my life I've been surrounded by instruments. I play guitar, bass and drums in a very amateur level. But I also love cinema, gangsters films specially. I do love parties, no matters which kind, and I could say that my dancing is quite good (if you want to dance a proper salsa, be my guest). One of my passions is riding my bicycle (with my headphones, obviously and a spliff if the occasion deserve it) and taking photos. I also try to draw but not in a professional level: I just find drawing as a perfect way to focus or concentrate myself, so you can see me doing that during the most of the lectures in my Master. Im also a big football fan, not only watching but playing. Again, Im not an expert, I just try to enjoy every activity that I'm interested in.

Music, Movies, and Books
The answer could depends on the first thing that comes up to my mind. But I have to tell you that I really like Tarantino and Guy Ritchie films. A clockwork Orange is still the most delighted and futurist movie I've ever seen. As a Colombian I love Garcia Marquez books, but I also enjoy reading journalists like Truman Capote, John Reed, Albert Camus, Isaac Babel, Gay Talesse, Alberto Salcedo. The range of music I like is so broad that I couldn't put it in this box. But during a long part of my life I listened to skapunk and reggae, as well as classic rock bands influenced by my father.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
During my stay in London I saw one of my favourites bands: The Specials, by far my favourite concert ever. But no less important was to be in Roger Waters concert in Bogotá, in 2006. It was absolutely amazing. And without doubt one of the most relaxing things I've done is swimming in the Amazonia River, in Manaos, Brasil.
