About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Staying awesome

ABOUT ME

Extravert, outgoing, energetic, ... those are some words that don't depict me at all (except maybe on some special occasions).
I would say I'm rather friendly, calm, honest, a gentleman and not that bad for company.

PHILOSOPHY

For me, there are about 7 billion different ways to see the world on this planet right now, and they're all really complex and interesting. It's lots of fun to compare one's philosophy with someone else's, and there doesn't exist any 'one word' to explain any of them completely yet, but I would say 'idealist' and 'agnostic atheist' come quite close to my perception of the world... Oh, and I love awesome quotes like "The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, and wiser people so full of doubt." (Bertrand Russel)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None yet, but I have good friends who recommended it so...

Interests

I love knowledge, (foreign) culture, literature, music... I'm especially interested in cultures of the Far East.
What I'm really not interested about are sports on tv.
But if it's about practicing a sport actively, I won't hesitate to try it out.
I'm also a big fan of partying, gaming, visiting and playing the tourist...

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't think there is any genre in which there aren't any movie/music/book I really like. I do love humor a lot, and wether it's a movie, a song or a book, I find it more compelling if it has a bit of comedy in it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I would say staying in Japan for a year was one of the greatest experiences I ever had. I was especially fond of Kyoto, the more traditional part of Japan.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm really interested in Languages and Foreign Cultures. I also like art, history, science... well, almost everything really. I love sharing knowledge. I chose to study Japanology at the KUL because I was especially fond of Japan at the time, but now I got interested in China and other Far Eastern countries as well. I'll do my best to get you interested in my country's culture and I'm sure you'll get me interested in yours.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Switzerland, Tunisia

Countries I’ve Lived In
