ABOUT ME
hello everyone!
I'm Nicolas from Belgium. I'm living as a student sinds 3 years in the very center of Brussels (awesome city by the way:) ) I'm passionnate by travelling and I use to do what we can call "unofficial coach surfing" :D I Lived during 6 months in Bucharest which allowed me to visit a great part of this balkanic area(I cam back in Brussel in February 2012). Honeslty it's a little bit awkward for me to make a description about myself but let's try! :D
So...the first thing that my friends would say about me is that i'm always full of energy! I like to discover new people, new activities, others cultures,...I have always a kind of project in mind; that why maybe i'm sometimes absentminded haha! I'm living in colocation sinds 3 years, so I have no problem with living in a "small community" and I even enjoy this way of life a lot!
I like the little pleasures in life! I mean like eating chocolate, listening a really good tune, the unexpected things like meeting a old lost friend, etc. I like this kind of moments!!
Beside this, I suppose that you will know more by meeting me haha! Have a nice day anyway!
PHILOSOPHY
I really like to discover new things and new people. that 's why i'm really found of travels! I really like to enjoy every moment and little things in life in stead of prefering the security of a "ordinary" life without surprises! let's say that 's why i would enjoy to welcome couch surfer at my home and also go to couchsurf abroad :)
Finally, i'm kind of positif person, i like always to see what is the good stuff that you can receive or learn from an experience!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
i make my appartment available for any couchsurfers and i also give information about my city when i receive message about it! i'm glad to give cool adresses to people this way :)
for now, i just did non official couchsurfing abroad but i sure would like to do it next time i will need it!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
i had some "non official" couch surfing experiences, with the help of friends who were registered on the couch surfing website while i wasn't. Actually it's those experiences that give me the motivation to register to the website and participate at the network!
Interests
i'm found of photography! it's a part of my study sinds 3 years and this is one huge part of my interests. I also like a lot the radio. I'm in a radio sinds 2 years (working as an animator) and I couldn't stop! Beside this i'm found of music. I play some instruments for pleasure and I usually don't say no if you propose me to go to a concert! I like playing basketball and cooking (no particular links between de 2 ^^).
I like also to travel(I know, we are on couchsurfing.org, no such a big surprise but anyway!). Discovering new cultures, landschapes, ways of life and people is maybe part my principal interests too. The next places that I would like to see now are Argentina, Australia, India and Catalunia :)

for the books, my favourite writer is Alessandro Barrico! i especially like Ocean Mer and Novencetto (I don't know exactly the title in english)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
waw difficult to pick one moment^^ ok! I was in erasmus in Bucharest from august 2011 until February 2012. I had the chance during this to go to Istanbul with some others erasmus. We met others people over there, especially one indian, some australians and one guy from the USA. And I spend sometimes all together in the hostel where we stayed. We were there from usa, india, Australia, Germany, Catalonia, Belgium, etc. having good time together! And I really enjoyed all this mixed of culture, this sharing prove me that no matter from where we are, we can still laugh together :)
one other moment is (let's take another one not too old^^) when I arrived in Bucharest. I couldn't speak a word of romanian and I had to find a special dormitory for erasmus people. and it was 2 AM.. I took a taxiwhich left me in front of the wrong adress. I was there in the middle of the night, with my luggage, pack of street dogs were following me (street dogs in Bucharest are most of the time really cool but.. i didn't know yet). I finally found the place, I took the elevator to go to my floor. all was really calm but when the door opened I found 10 people sitting on the ground, drinking and speaking english without any proper grammar :D when they saw me, they welcomed me really warmly before offered me something to drink!
and that is how i met my second family :)
Teach, Learn, Share
i m passionnate by photography and i 'm with pleasure a photography teacher when people ask me! i like to cook too and i can share my passion for guitare (and ukulele)! i'm also a fan of dancing rock music and it's always a pleasure to share it with people! and i'm always looking for people who can teach me more about it! thanks my studies, i can use photoshop as well as indesign, illustrator, flash, etc. and i would be glad to teac it if someone need it:)
