About Me

I am an open-minded person eager to know a lot about the world and its cultures. I consider myself a calm, friendly person, who is always ready to give a hand, to listen and to learn new things.
My dream is to contribute to the peace and prosperity of my country, to help the people have a better life and real opportunities of progress.

My favorite part of the day is the sunset, as it's the moment to stop for a while and think about life, about oneself, to take a look at the path we have already walked and the path that still lies ahead of us.
I consider myself an optimist without cure, there is always an opportunity to do things right or to correct things that are wrong.
"A pessimist sees difficulty in every opportunity. An optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty"

The world is wonderful, life is beautiful, I want to make the best out of each day.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I had the opportunity of assisting to one CouchSurfing meeting in Krakow, Poland (by accident), and it was amazing! I was just walking by with a friend and we saw a small bar full of happy people, we decided to enter and have a beer there. Since my english was rusty because I had been talking german for many months, I found myself unable to ask for a wheat beer, in that moment a lovely polish girl came to my rescue and ordered it for me. I then asked her: "Hey what's this all about?" - "It's a couchsurfing meeting"... Me again: "Couch what?". And here we are.

At this moment I can host people in my city Bogotá Colombia ocasionally, I hope to be able to do it on a regular basis in the future. However I'm always ready to meet with anyone who comes this way and share with them some good moments, if I have the time even show them around ;)

I also look forward to keep traveling around the world, visit many countries and cities and know incredible people. I have experienced that what really makes a difference when you travel somewhere is the people with whom you are, that's why I'm always friendly and open to anyone, because I know a wonderful experience may be just around the corner.

Interests

I love learning new languages, there is nothing more wonderful that to be able to speak, even if only a little bit, with someone you just met in their own language.
I like to read as well, mainly about history and politics.
I play in a rock band in Colombia with a cousin, I can play the bass and the guitar. I like to sing in the shower too :P
I love to watch and play football.
Other general activities include having party, traveling, drinking beer, and watching films.

In my previous travels there is something that has always amazed me, and that's the fact that you can meet people that share your interests, values, principles, vision of the world or passions, and you can meet them anywhere. They might live right next to you, or 10.000Km away. We, as human beings, have and endless ability to love and bring joy to others.
