About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Becoming the next Tiger Woods, run a half-marathon and Scuba-dive to 40 meters (not a the same time)
ABOUT ME
I'm a very positive person, "always look on the briiiight side of life", very curious; to see how the world works (that's a part of my job) but overall what's the world like, and what's the people like and that's part of why I want to travel!.
I've always enjoyed meeting new people, speak (or try to speak) their language, learning their culture, teach them mine, this gives a lot of very interesting, and often funny, discussions. Can't wait to have others!
I used to be a "godfather" in Bordeaux, it means I helped Erasmus people when they got there to search a flat, call the electricity company, etc., and of course, we finished partying every weeks and have a lot of fun. I met a lot of people this way during two, but now I don't have time for this anymore, but I try to participate in Courchsurfing!
PHILOSOPHY
John Barrymore (an american actor) said something that changed my philosophy a few years ago: "A man is not old until regrets take the place of his dreams". I think it's sooo true.
So I try to always have dreams, realize them now or keep them in mind for later, but keep looking forward, and enjoy the day.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Only hosted a very few times, participated to some CS meeting in Bordeaux, now in Reading, UK.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I hosted only once unfortunately, and have been hosted a few times in Geneva, Napoli, Barcelona, Vienna, Toronto, Ottawa, and Quebec City. They were all very different but very interesting experiences!
Interests
I'm interested in really a lot of things, but we could discuss of sports, cinema, music, science, culture, poker, news, geography, internet, tv shows and a bit of geeky stuffs, and of course our trips and things we've seen during them and our exepriences.
I play a bit of guitar and try to do sports as often as I can. I play badminton in a club, play regulary squash and love outdoor sports like hiking or mountain-biking. I just began to try golf now that I am in the UK and I like it a lot.

Music, Movies, and Books
I could watch a hundred times Kill Bil vol. 1 and 2, Fight Club, Garden State, Seven, Ocean's Eleven, The Truman Show, Transpotting, Snatch, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, all the episodes of Friends, Pulp Fiction, etc.
I'm a TV shows "maniac", loved Heroes, Lost, Coupling, 24, and still trying to watch all of House M.D, Desperate Housewives, The Big Bang theory, How I met Your Mother, Californication, Friday Nights Lights, Dexter, Skins, Breaking Bad, Sons of Anarchy, Community, etc...
I each time more enjoy reading and since a few years, I always have a book near me (but sometimes for a quite long time!), I've read some but I don't have a prefered author, although I really enjoyed "Clockwork Orange" (but the movie not really...), or all the Harry Potter, and I recently discovered Christopher Moore, who made me laugh reading his stories which is important enough to be said! Reading the first Sherlocke Holmes right now on my new tablet! :)
I'm always listennig music, and different groups and artist come and go from my playlist. Theses days I listen to Black Keys, The Hives, Arctic Monkeys, MGMT, Cocoon, Kill the Young, Poni Hoax, Ginzhu, The Ting Tings, Caravan Palace, Noisettes, Izia, Foster the People, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, etc. But some groups are always on my playlist: Ben Harper, Daft Punk, Chemical Brothers, FatBoy Slim, The Prodigy (remembering the good old times of university parties...). It's quite eclectic with a electro-rock dominant.
I love to go to concerts, I've aleready seen a few artists like Ben Harper, the Hives, Iggy and the Stoogees, Moriarty, Prodigy, Muse, Caravn Palace, etc, etc, etc... The last ones were System of a Down in Paris, and The Kills in Bordeaux. Planning to go to the Reading festival next year!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Piloted a tourism airplane at the age of 15 (just twice though). Seen the musical "The Lion King" is London (awesome!). Ben Harper in a concert in Festimad' 2004 (in Madrid), Live from Mars... Seen the sunset in Oia, Santorini, one of the most famous in the world!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you very uninteresting things like solving the Rubik's Cube, or how to juggle with what you want, of how to do a glass (the material itself, I used to do a lot during my PhD) or the names of guys who collect things, like champagne caps or cheese labels or very litlle bottles of alcohol or... (but in french), and of course I can teach you French rudiments.
I'd love to learn anything from you. :)
