About Me

I am a student in politics and philosophy in University of Montreal. I consider myself as a progressist and an open-minded person.
The biggest example I can provide is my home. We are 6 young students living in a two floor apartment. We share everything (including food, stuff and our lives) in a Commune we made ours by letting people in distress stay for a couple days or weeks, by starting our own garden, by having huge parties and dinners, etc. Community is really important to me, and I want to bring that to CS.
I love learning and I'm an easy-going guy who loves laughing. Debating and exchanging are fun but I also like to go out. That could mean chatting calmy at a bar as much as dancing in a club or jam by the sea.
Jokes, pranks and stupidities are very welcomed. As long as we laugh, life's beautiful!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to meet you, dear locals from the world! I want to feel immersed in every country I visit, see what there is to be seen and most of all, meet new people! And to the opposite, I want to show travellers why Montreal and its surroundings are amazing! Also, I want to meet people who likes building communities. I am living with 6 other people in a Commune where we share food and most of our stuff together. Friends come and sleep over all the time, we cook and eat altogether, it's really great. That's what I'm looking for. A community of people.
Also, I like people who truly involve themselves. That's the reason why, if you want to me to host you, put "PoopIsBeautiful" somewhere in your message.

Interests

Thinking. Talking. Exchanging. About politics, history, culture, society, ways of living, movies, tv shows, interesting stories, video games, interpersonal relationships, philosophy, love, spirituality, sociology, international relationships, privileges and much, much more. I'm not hard to interest : passion attracts my attention! And of course, travelling! Meeting new people, learning about their lives, their history, their culture. It's so fun!
That'll prove you actually read my profile and you didn't copy-paste the same request to a lot of people! If you don't bother read the whole thing, I won't bother answering you. This might look rude, but a lot of people on CS just don't get the community aspect.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbed an abandoned 15 floor hotel to the roof in Split, Croatia.
Almost got killed by the Turkish mafia for faking to steal water bottles in Istanbul, Turkey.
Explored a devastated or abandoned hidden school in Venice, Italia.
Travelled from the two ancient roman empire capitals, from Rome to Istanbul.
Was very involved in the 2012 Student Spring in Quebec.

I have many other stories. That's for you to find out.
I usually do absolutely stupid and careless stuff. Oh well. I'm an absolute rebel :).

Teach, Learn, Share

I deeply believe in self-development. Every moment has a teaching, and as beings, we simply have to try and solve it out. Life's just a big mistery, but a beautiful one. And the key to it is ourselves. I try to be a very positive person.

Also, I study social sciences, and that makes me think and discuss about a lot of stuff. Any question is a good one, even though you can't find an answer.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I live in a big apartment in Montreal. We're actually 7 people, 2 cats and a dog. If you'd like to come over, wave the hand! :)
