About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I'm looking for the meaning of life... that's a big job!
ABOUT ME
All about me? Hugh, I'll never tell anyone all about me...
But roughly, I'm a kind of green socialist hippie-minded; and more precisely: a left wing eco-warrior political activist Christian GAY; a feminist pro-choice, anticapitalist against globalisation, against war in Irak, against junk food and Genetic Modified stuff, and for a free Palestinian state. And I feel like I should go and free Tibet myself as well... Well, more or less.
Apart from that, I regard myself as an independent character who likes to be alone and who likes company as well; I'm a non-smoker who smokes; I'm a vegetarian who eats meat, I'm a nature lover who lives in the city, I'm not a party-animal, but I wouldn't say no to a bit of a party sometimes! I'm curious; I like to learn about the world we're living in, about its histories, about its different cultures, about its people, about the one that's you.
PHILOSOPHY
"If only we'd stop trying to be happy, we could have a pretty good time" Edith Wharton.
Be yourself. Respect the people. Respect the planet. Seize the moment. Just try to "be the change you want to see in the world" as Gandhi said.

Music, Movies, and Books
MOVIES I really liked: "INTO THE WILD" by Sean Penn; "the battle for Haditah" by Mike Broomfield; Shooting dogs; Gran Torino; Sophie Scholl; Harvey Milk; The barbarians invasions; My life without me; Festen; The city of God; Also anything from Almodovar, Amenabar, Kusturika, Tim Burton, Woody Allen; Takeshi Kitano; Wong Kai War. Also anything with Romain Duris... Anything really which is not too "Hollywood-like" indeed.
MUSIC I really like: Charlie Winston, Souad Massi, Emilie Simon, Ben Harper, Jack Johnson, Ed Harcourt, Antony and the Johnsons, Cesaria Evora, Bjork, Moby, Jack the Ripper, Cocoon, Kezia Jones... and French stuff you probably don't know!
BOOKS I definitely recommand:
"Angela's ashes" by Frank Mc Court; "The time traveler's wife" by A. Niffeneger; "Half of a yellow sun" by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie; "To kill a mocking bird" by Harper Lee; "Star of the Sea" by Joseph O'Connors; "Memoirs of a Geisha" by Arthur Golden
"A life stripped bare - tiptoeing through the ethical minefield", by Leo Hickman, Guardian Books and
"Change the world for a fiver - we are what we do", Short Books.
I therefore like A Camus, M Kundera, EE Schmidt, G Garcia Marquez, K Hosseini...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Don't know really.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'd love to learn a bit about Chinese medicine. I'm not so sure what I can teach, even if I eventually want to become... a teacher!
Well, I'm quite good at French-kissing, Anyone?
