About Me

I'm a broke college student, starting my travels to Europe for the first time this summer with a friend! I study Environmental Science at Washington State University.

The idea to go to Europe was planned spur of the moment, and it is probably the best decision I've made thus far. My friend and I plan to fly into Copenhagen, Denmark, in late June, and travel through Germany to Italy for the month of July, hopefully visiting Spain if we have enough time.

This will be my first time leaving North America! I'm very nervous, but very excited to learn and grow as a person through this experience.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am traveling on a very tight budget. Also, because I'd like meet and learn more about the countries I travel to- through the people who live there!

I am not a large fan of the tourist culture. Though the sites are truely amazing, I wan't to experience my travels unconventionally, and on my own time. I am not going to Europe as a vacation, but to learn and grow.

Interests

I'm really into music, drinking coffee, photography, meeting new people, exploring, camping, hiking, and studying the environment. Being outdoors whether it be the city, countryside, or coast, is what I enjoy most. Learning about different cultures is important to me, and I have much more to learn. I believe the traveling to other areas of the world will help me further understand what I am currently studying in school, environmental science. Going to Europe will also be a great opportunity for me to grow as a photographer.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Couch surfing would be a good way for me to accomplish much of my goals in traveling to Europe! Since I am traveling on a very tight budget, staying in various hostels for a month isn't very practical.

My friend introduced me to the idea of couch surfing, and when I learned more about it, it seemed perfect. I'd love to stay and learn about the people from the countries I am traveling too.

As a guest, I'll make sure to be as respectable as possible, and stay out of your way. Unless you'd like to show us around your country and visit, that is! I'm very open to learning and trying new things. Getting to know my host is a bonus for me- I'd love to learn first hand.

I will be traveling to new city's every couple days, so my stay would be brief
