Présentation
À propos de moi
I am an international mixture of everything I have ever picked up from where I have been. Being half Bulgarian, I have the warm and adventurous Balkan spirit. My other half is Russian but instead of vodka, I prefer a nice beer. I have lived in Sweden for some time and it was there where I learnt the art of the "fika" - having a nice and long conversation over a cup of coffee and a piece of cake. Since I was in middle school I have been traveling around Europe in a bus with other 50 crazy young musicians and dancers participating in at least 2 international carnivals/festivals a year. Currently I am working in Vilnius, the city where I found happiness.
Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
I like the idea of being part of a community which consists of travellers, of people who have realised that traveling is enriching and life-changing. I am here to meet you, to learn about your stories and to share mine with you.
Centres d'intérêt
I am constantly thorn between being a lazy bookworm that stays at home with a nice book and going outside looking for adventures and new experiences. My hobbies include:
• Writing & Blogging: I blog about life, freedom and travels at www.wanderpicks.com - go check it out! 😊✌
• Jogging & Some other active ways to spend my free time: I am going to salsa classes in summer and have plans for indoor climbing when it gets cold; also, I like yoga, rollerskatting and longboarding;
• I like trying new beers and I live for finding cozy bars around Europe (if you know any, please recommend)
• I love expanding my mind with reading and taking Internet courses on different topics (currently on emotional intelligence, leadership, and photography).
• And, of course!, I like weekend get-aways and trips of any sort and size 😊 You can read more about these on the blog.
Morceaux de musique, films et livres
• I currently enjoy Indie rock music and am passionate about discovering and supporting Baltic bands by going to their concerts on every possible occasion. Some of the bands and artists I like include Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Condor Avenue (Lithuanian), Carnival Youth (Latvian), Kasabian, Tribes, Børns and many many others.
• My taste in movies is not sophisticated, therefore I like easy-to-watch ones.
• I enjoy the novels of Richard Bach and Andy Andrews, which explore the possibilities of the human mind and the power of our thoughts. The second most read "literature" by me is travel blogs.
Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue
Some of my personal favourite things I have ever done is bungee jumping and hiking the Rila lakes in Bulgaria (one of the most beautiful places you will ever see in my home county). Also swimming in the Aegean sea at night while the surface of the water was like a mirror could be listed among my favourite memories.
Enseignez, apprenez, partagez
I believe that everybody you meet can teach you something valuable. Therefore, I could teach you how to say "Cheers!" in Bulgarian! Apart from that I can share my life stories with you and you can decide whether you have something to learn from them. : )
As to the learning part, if you are into blogging, I would be happy to exchange secrets and experiences! :)
Ce que j'aimerais partager avec mes hôtes
I will gladly give recommendations on different destinations where I have been. Regarding Vilnius, I am able to give you recommendations on places to eat, bars and touristic activities. I can check with you different events that are happening during your stay.
