I won a greencard in the diversity lottery and arrived in the USA on March 8th. I am still unsure of which part of the U.S i want to settle in so plan for the first few months to explore as many areas as possible. I have already travelled to 16 states and I want to be able to do all 50 over the next few years.

The states I have been to are: Hawaii, California, Nevada, Georgia, Tennessee, Delaware, New Jersey, Vermont, Maryland, Arizona, New Mexico, South Dakota, Louisiana, Wyoming, Florida, New York, Utah, Texas, Colorado, Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Pennsylvania, Connecticut and Alabama.

Next on my list is Chicago!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have secured a few house sits in the above areas and in between the house sits and I think this couchsurfing idea would help me learn more about the areas because I can get all the inside scoop from someone that lives there. This will help me know which area suits me best to live permanently!

I have been hang gliding off Coronet Peak in Queenstown NZ. It was extremely exhilarating!
