About Me

"The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page".

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love hosting people at my place and making sure they always feel like they are at home. Couch surfing allows you to be a part of a home rather than a house. You are more involved with the culture, and you are able to learn more about where it is you're staying, as you are living with people from that exact area! "Mi casa es su casa" is such a relevant and applicable saying for backpackers looking for a place to stay. If you are willing to have someone at your place, they will be willing to have you at theirs. Couchsurfing is about trust, respect and loyalty; three qualities I pride myself in. It is about being able to open up your home to new friends, and develop relationships that you would otherwise never have had the opportunity to have.

Music, Movies, and Books

I seriously love any music, except Country music is not my favourite.
I read anything, but mostly crime and mystery books. I recently read a novel called "Cop Town" by Karin Slaughter, and it was outstanding.
Favourite movie.... I've got to go with Mulan. That chick rocks.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Snorkeling in the great barrier reef was probably the most incredible thing I have ever experienced.
Volunteering in Nicaragua and Brazil/Venezuela - the people I met, the kids I worked with, and the relationships I formed was something I will always treasure and cherish. It was indescribable.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love teaching people piano...I like learning new cultures, languages, songs, instruments.. I want to share my travel stories and hope to hear more about your travel stories as well!
