About Me

I come from a three person family that lives across three continents. My mother lives in Malaysia -the country I was born and raised in- my father lives in New Zealand -the country where I spent my high school years- and right now, I live in the United States. Needless to say, family reunions are tricky.

After graduating from Colorado College in May, I decided to make the move to Texas so that I could be close to the border and start working at an immigration law firm.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I almost always like people. Unless they ask me which part of China, Malaysia is in or they ask me why I speak such good English.

I'm that person who sits next to you on the airplane and starts talking. I know, the dreaded one. When I recount travel stories, they tend to be about the random strangers and people I met, rather than the must-see landmarks. I love learning about a space by talking to people and understanding how they look at the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

Favourite book of all time: God of Small Things by Arundhati Roy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm an only child and I've learnt how to share things.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love bringing community together around food and would definitely cook you an appreciation meal.
