About Me

I am a Canadian and was living in New Zealand for the past 5 years with my fiance John. We met and fell in love at Burning Man in Nevada in 2013 and were inseparable ever since.

We were married on 8 August 2018 and are now on our “endlesshoneymoon.” We left our house, our careers and our cat behind in New Zealand and will be traveling the world as long as we can, no end date in mind. (Which is why we can't host at the moment).

Although this is an about me column, it will be the two of us together, whether hosting or visiting, so its more an "about us."

We love to travel and meet people from all over, have been to many places across North America, Central America and Australia together and have been many more places separately but have many large trips planned for the future! :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To join a big international community of hosts and visitors, to make friends and learn how to travel in a different way!

Music, Movies, and Books

Ah here is where I go on from the interests..
Arrested Development, LOST, 30 Rock, Parks and Rec, SNL, Reba (haha, seriously), Breaking Bad, so many more..I'm caught up in the past and very few new shows have caught me like those. ah, Blacklist and Narcos

Movies, endless list, but Big Fish is a great one, as well as Billy Madison, The Lion King, Blue Hawaii, Pirates of the Caribbean, once again caught up in the past..

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Lived and volunteered in Tanzania for 2 months :) Amazing not in the sense that it makes me amazing, but amazing because it was such an amazing experience!!!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you cool and interesting things about your Apple Products (or any type of technology if you give me time to play around with it) as I used to work for Apple, and love figuring things out.

I'm a teacher so hopefully I can teach you about other things too? I'm great at Trivial Pursuit so I can teach you many useless random facts!

John can teach you about the ocean and surfing and he was a physiotherapist in his past life so he can give you exercises if you’re injured!

We both love to learn and try new things!

I am learning Spanish, and although I love to cook and am pretty good at it, I would love to learn more technical chef-type things! I love yoga but am always wanting to learn more as well! Learning all the time about everything is good!

What I Can Share with Hosts

John and I are conversationalists, we love to share good times with people we meet over both deep and meaningful chats, and goofy ones as well!

We can share music, cooking skills, laughs, and mostly good company!
