About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To settle into Cairns and continue to host / met amazing people from around the world before heading to Japan, Europe and Russia

ABOUT ME

I love traveling and meeting people. I am open minded, positive and easy going.

My curiosity and desire for new experience often means I am found in some rather odd situations. I belive travel is one of the most profound personal journeys someone can take. I have always traveled with the hope that what I see, feel and experience will help me to understand the world and myself more. My life is enriched through travel; getting to know people from all walks of life, experiencing different cultures and the beauty of the natural world.

PHILOSOPHY

I am a nerd, and ...
"…because nerds like us are allowed to be unironically enthusiastic about stuff… Nerds are allowed to love stuff, like jump-up-and-down-in-the-chair-can’t-control-yourself love it. When people call people nerds, mostly what they’re saying is ‘you like stuff.’ Which is just not a good insult at all. Like, ‘you are too enthusiastic about the miracle of human consciousness’." — John Green

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment i am mainly hosting with my boyfriend who i live with. We are soon to be in Japan and next year we will travel Europe and Russia. We also want to explore more of Australia, particularly want to get to Tasmania and drive the savanna way across the country.

When i host, i like to show cs around as much as possible. I love opening up my home and world to others, it is very rewarding and as a host i look forward to getting to know people from all corners of the world. I am a big believer in, and lover of mutual experiences. I believe sharing things with others, enriches our lives. By simply sharing moments we learn from each other new ways of viewing the world. For example the way i view the beach i grew up on is very different to the way my first cs saw it. To me it was just 'home' but to him, it was something of rare beauty, something he had never seen. This, sharing experiences and the appreciation of diversity that comes from meeting new people is why and how i participate as a cs host.

When i couchsurf i always say thank you through food - I love to cook for others. cs is not a scabby way to travel it is a very real, trusting, organic way to learn about someones world, for this opportunity i like to say thank you through food.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I see couchsurfing as a beautiful way to meet people, open the mind and to learn.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There is nothing more magical than when you stop and listen, than all of a sudden there it is - the direction we were so badly without realizing looking for. The first time i traveled i was 16 and experienced this. i went 2 weeks in Fjij, i stayed in the highland and a little island without power. this trip set me on a path of travel, exploration, study and .. come what may.

the most amazing things i have ever seen are the small joys in everyday life, it is the small joys the enrich us and make life the wonderfulness it is. to never grow out of a child's curiosity, expression and wonder

Teach, Learn, Share

Share: Conversations of passion and laughter
- always more than happy to chat, about anything.

Teach: how to work around food intolerance
- I have a wheat and dairy intolerance an very rarely eat meat. i am happy to teach what i have learnt over the past 2 years of trial and error in regards to what works and does not. i lived with an amazing person how taught me so much about cooking and nutrition, i'd love to share and teach what i could.

Learn: Everything
- I am just starting to learn about sacred sexuality, would love to learn more.
- Permaculture, now that i have moved we are looking at starting a garden,
