Overview
About Me
I'm an engineer turned writer, working at a small tech company in Calgary. Before that, I worked in underground mines around Canada and did a stint in Los Angeles at a fast-paced tech start-up. I've found my feet in communications and storytelling (specifically about science) and am passionate about empowering others with knowledge.
During university, since I was low on funds, I spent time exploring almost all of my home country- Canada. I think it's one of the most beautiful places in the world. I can share recommendations of places to visit for anyone interested. My first couchsurfing experience was actually in northern Canada, Yellowknife to be precise, during the days of 23 hours of sunlight. It was an awesome experience and since then I have couchsurfed across the United States, Canada, and a bit of New Zealand. I love being able to share stores, meet new friends, and learn about the local 'secrets' for the regions I'm visiting.
My other hobbies include rock climbing, blogging, hiking, and cooking. I'm always on the look out for bouldering and top rope / lead climbing partners!
