About Me

Current mission :
Save enough money for a year long backpacking trip

I love to travel and see new places. I live for the feeling of awe at an engineering masterpiece or a beautiful work of art. Hiking mountains is one of my favorite past times because it reminds me how small I am and how magnificent Earth is. I also love swimming in mountain streams and sleeping in my hammock under the stars.

I try not to take things for granted, which is why I want to see the world now and not "later" like most people who put it off. If I request to stay with you (or vice versa), rest assured we'll swap traveling stories and make some new ones!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm a couchsurfer to meet awesome people, stay off the beaten tourist path, and earn positive references from my hosts so I can keep surfing!

For me, Couchsurfing is NOT Tinder. Please don't dm me for a date!

Interests

My favorite types of exercise are yoga and hiking.

When I'm abroad or at home, I like to shop at flea markets and secondhand stores.

I love to visit art museums; Impressionism and Surrealism are my favorite styles.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Trekked through the jungles of Uganda to see mountain gorillas in their native habitat. The alpha male looked about six feet wide and sat on the edge of the cliff like Rodin's The Thinker, looking out. What was he thinking?
