ABOUT ME

Hey, my name is Nicole and just like everyone else here I love to travel and meet people from around the world! I just graduated with a history/social studies degree and plan to get a Master's in Teaching! A few years ago I took a year off school and did a 4 month backpacking trip around Europe. Just recently I did a 2 month trip around Southeast Asia, and now I am ready to travel some more!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My cousin told me about couch surfing and I think it is such a neat way to be able to travel when you don't have a lot of money, meet new people from all over the world and from so many different cultures, and to be able to experience different countries through the eyes of the locals rather than just the touristy side of each country.

Interests

I love adventure, hiking, and seeing amazing places around the world, but really my favorite part of traveling is learning about different cultures around the world and gaining new perspectives. My history interest adds to my desire to learn about culture and the history of all the places I visit. And I also love volleyball and other sports and reading.:)

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't really have a preference on music, I listen to most anything. I like anything history (movies, books, shows, etc.), Harry Potter (books and movies), Game of Thrones!!!, and my favorite single book is Boys in the Boat!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Rode motorbikes around an AMAZING and not very touristy island called Nusa Penida. If you haven't heard of it, check it out! It's next to Bali!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share great company, travel stories, and food! I am not a great cook, but I would love to buy my hosts a meal!
