Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Trying to experience as much of this world as possible before I have to grow up and be an adult.
ABOUT ME
I am always getting bitten by the travel bug! I'm half-Vietnamese and half-American, very friendly and open-minded and have a great sense of humor. Political correctness is the bane of my existence. I love listening to music, reading, films and satire.
You might hear me refer to myself as the female version of George Costanza but I assure you I am considerate, nice and an all-around likeable person.
I love learning about other cultures and learning new languages. I'm currently living in Sweden and trying to speak as much Swedish as possible to become fluent, whilst attempting to maintain my German and Vietnamese.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I really hate those kinds of tours where you get on a bus and you're told what to do every minute of every day. I like to slow down, get to know the locals and have them show me what it's really like to be a resident in any town, city, state/province or country.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies:
1. Above all: grit, drama and disillusionment--Deliverance, Midnight Cowboy, Det Sjunde Inseglet (The Seventh Seal), Full Metal Jacket, The Wrestler, Taxi Driver, Apocalypse Now
2. Satire and parodies--anything Monty Python's ever touched, O Brother Where Art Thou?
3. Being a young person, I have a soft spot for movies like Superbad, Happy Gilmore, Dodgeball and Wayne's World.
4. Historical movies or period films--Gangs of New York, Amadeus, The Elephant Man, There Will Be Blood
Extensive musical taste, from British post-punk to American bluegrass, from German rap to Scandinavian metal. I have an unhealthy obsession with Morrissey. See http://last.fm/user/uttini_ if your curiosity has been piqued :]
Books: I love to read! My favourite themes are the dark side of the American Dream and people who cause their own destruction through insatiable greed or desire for power (An American Tragedy, The Great Gatsby, The Sound and the Fury), disillusionment and descents into madness (Heart of Darkness, The Sea Wolf, Psycho), and humorous childhood stories (read: Jean Shepherd)
