ABOUT ME

Hello I'm Nicole from Hong Kong which is a dot in the world map!

I am an exchange student in University of Helsinki for half a year in 2011, majoring sociology. I also have interests in humanities and law.
Well I choose to come to Finland because I think Finland is beautiful, peaceful and safe! It is quite a mysterious place for me as I have never visited northern Europe. I find me easily adapted to the environment and enjoying every moment of it.

I am energetic, open-minded to something new and exotic! I love sports since I love to move around haha. I am also a fan in photography. It is always fun to find the best angle to record some great moments or experiences in life, as good memories for myself. Well meeting people from all parts of the world is so much fun too as I get to share about their lives and experiences which is fresh to me! I always like to listen to what others go through and their understanding of the world enriches my life a whole lot!

last but not least, I am crazy about travelling because it is sooooooo nice to see other corners of the world with my own eyes, on my own feet.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I offer a place for CS member if time matches!
I show them around my home city during my free time and try to explain to them the culture and custom of hong kong! i hope that they can understand more about hong kong and chinese culture and feel interested about it!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am new to couchsurfing but I have tried several couchsurfing in greece, italy and spain! I found that couchsurfing allows more personal contact with locals and thus better understand their culture and their living more. I love couchsurfing!!

Interests

I am in love with photography as I try to express my thoughts and views in taking photos from certain angles. Photos can be really inspiring when you make it right and convey your messages to your audience. Though i am a beginner in photography I love to learn from others and their photos to improve my photography skills.

I am sporty and energetic since I love to move around and exercise rather than sitting there. It feels so good to exercise my muscles. I play badminton regularly and do female or mixed doubles. I also love to jog and swim.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

once i went backpackig in china. the place Shen Long jia was a conserved area where entrance is restricted. as we followed a local farmer in the place up to an unkwown and unexplored hill, we walked nonstop for the whole day just to get up to the top before sunset. it was simply a forest where no one has been to and there were no paths. we were to go through thorny trees and shrubs. i feel like im exploring something new which no one has found out yet. After hiking for so many hours, im wowed by the view from the hill as it was beyond words to describe. it was breathtaking.

i love to meet people who are openminded to a lot of possibilities. usually these people have a lot of travel experiences and it is always always great to share their interesting experiences

maybe those with sense of humor because they can pick up my jokes and laugh with me hahaha:P
