ABOUT ME

Hi! I'm a french guy from Orleans city. After 6 years living in Paris I decided to move to Montreal in Canada! I've been living there for almost 4 years now and I really enjoy the quality of life here.

I'm an easy going guy, very open minded and amateur of arts : photography, movies, painting, music. I need art in my life and that's why in addition of my consultant job, I'm a photographer :) You can see my work here : www.nicolaslepillerphoto.com

I'm also a big traveler, i made a round the world trip 5 years ago. I love to live like local people as much as possible, walk around cities, discovering landscapes by every possible way.

Also, I run marathons, I like to eat every food of the world, and I sometimes play videogames :)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I used to offer my couch a lot in Paris but didn't do it in Montreal yet. Maybe soon. For now I'm looking for hosts in NYC for a photography project I'd like to achieve.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I used to host many people in Paris and every time has been a very rewarding and fun experience to share travel stories, culture differences, cooking tips, and great conversations.

Intereses

I love arts in general. Painting, movies, theatre, music. Cinema and photography are my passions. I've directed some movies, written scripts but now I mainly practice photography.
I also like sport (running, soccer) and new technologies like computers, web and videogames.

Música, películas y libros

Some legendary movies : Once upon a time in America, The Godfather, Amarcord, Amelie, Garden state, Elephant..I love Lynch, Scorsese, Coppola's familly, Chaplin, Van Sant, Kubrick and I forget some!
I listen to rock music. The Shins, Feeder, Bloc Party, Coldplay, Muse, Architecture in Helsinki, Editors, Interpol..And punk rock, ska, original soundtrack.

Algo increíble que he hecho

I made a round the world trip in 2013...so many travel memories and beautiful moments shared with locals.
I got published for several of my photography works and it's always a great pride.
I won two awards in film festivals for one of my movies! Those moments were my glory moments :)
I also swam with sharks, turtles in the great barrier reef. It was amazing.

I run the NYC marathon, it was one of my dreams... checked :)

Enseña, aprende, comparte

I would like to meet people to discover some new universes from all over the world and open my mind a little bit more. Inversely, I think my universe could be intersting for many people. Arts, computer science, video editing, music..I think I can enrich you!!
