About Me

Born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta but I moved to Montreal 2 years ago to study Journalism at Concordia University. I’ve just arrived back in Montreal from a year abroad in Europe doing an exchange program in the Netherlands and Denmark.
My life changed after a 3-month long experience in Nepal and since then, I haven't been able to stop traveling, exploring and asking questions - the big ones!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing offers something completely unique because opening ones door to a stranger is such a personal thing. You get a good glimpse into someone's life that you normally have to wait months in a normal relationship before seeing that side of someone. Couchsurfing also puts you in touch with people you probably would never have otherwise met - people completely different from you. Couchsurfing makes the world a smaller place and I love that.

Interests

I LOVE the ocean. I love to read but these days it's mostly school textbooks and the news but when I get the time I like to pick up a good fiction novel.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Spent New Year's Eve in Berlin.
Drove a scooter from Chania to Elafonisi in Crete.
Trekked through the Himalayas and watched the sunrise on Poon Hill.
Interviewed a Hungarian Mayor at a pivotal time in their elections.
Paragliding and cliff jumping in Maui.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can offer good conversations - I'm not afraid to get political or deep into the issues present in the world but I don't like to argue. I'll play devils advocate to inspire thoughtful contemplation but I rarely take a firm stance on anything.
I'm very clean and I'm also a great cook if you're okay with eating vegetarian!
I also like to think I'm a good listener, someone who's always looking to learn new things from people who have had a different life experience than myself.
