ABOUT ME

I'm a true blue Singaporean who lives for her weekends, sleep and maybe some good tv shows (e.g: Suits, Scandal, Orange is the New Black etc). Fasincated by food, greedy by nature but never really into scouring out best food places (I eat it as I will it!) so probably the worst Singaporean foodie to find if you love eating.

I work in a backpacker's hostel during the daytime so I'm pretty alright with directions around this city. I'm always on the lookout for new joints/experiences/food troves in Singapore to try out. Though I rarely have the time to get out and see it, I still hoard information like a junkyard collector.

Just say hi already! I don't bite but I do tend to pack an overcompensating smile and a dash of awkward laughter. Just saying.

PHILOSOPHY

YOLO! As horrible of an image that the term has given itself (no doubt by esteemed youths of society), I've learnt to embrace the idea that I do only live once & while that doesn't mean I should willingly put myself in dangerous situations, it also doesn't mean I give up on an idea just because I 'cant'/'shouldnt'/'mustnt'. You get the drift.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I can't host my couch out but I'm good to hang out & explore the city. Generally free in the evening & on weekends. I can't drive to save my life so no chauffeuring provided. Walking is a good option (for me) though! If you are up to meet, I'm up to say hello!

Centres d'intérêt

Museums. Books. Culture. Heritage. Walking, lots and lots of walking. Good music & by that I mean anything by Imagine Dragons, on 8tracks, or it could be just be a soundtrack from a recent movie I watched. There is nothing more I love than to just walk in a country where no one knows my name & where I can do anything at that given moment and I'll be the only one that remembers it for life.

Pride and Prejudice, 3 Idiots, Anna Karenina. Books by Jane Austen, writers whose names I'll only know when I fall in love with their writing. Travel books by Lonely Planet (so cliché but I'm often fascinated by their short sarcastic lines)

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

This isn't really 'amazing' (I've heard way too many good stories that top mine by lightyears) but it was driving in a GoCar in the middle of a heavy thunderstorm in Barcelona with the weather being about 16 celsius. That felt pretty badass.
