About Me

Hi, I'm Nicole. A restless twentysomething. A writer, photographer, and gypsy at heart.

PHILOSOPHY

We all have different measures for success. For some, it's a good career, a fat paycheck, or a beautiful family thriving in a white picket fenced house in the suburbs. But this is not for me. I believe there is more to life than an 8-5 job and, eventually, retirement. We're only young once, and I want to spend it seeing the world and being happy and free.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Meeting couchsurfers in countries that I visit to get better acquainted with the culture through the locals, and with fellow travelers as well.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Made wonderful friends through Couchsurfing during my backpacking trip, and when I hosted in my country.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Being at a distant, unfamiliar place surrounded by people who don't speak your language, but feeling right at home.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have learned so many things from all the travelers I have met. But the biggest thing I've learned is this: you are wasting your life living lonely. You can be happy and free. It's a choice. Take it.
