Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Experience as much of Brazil and speak as much Portuguese as is humanly possible in the next two months. Vamos!
ABOUT ME
I am thoughtful in the sense that my head is literally full of thoughts. I like to be playful and joke around, although my sense of humor can be rather dry and discreet. My friends usually tell me it took them a while to pick up on it. So if you think I'm being serious, stick around a little longer!
PHILOSOPHY
What you do today is important because you are exchanging a day of your life for it.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
For the time I've been in Brazil, I've been solely surfing. When I'm in Gainesville, it will be difficult to host since I live in a very small studio apartment, but I would love to meet up with other surfers even if I can't host!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've been staying with some great people along my trip in Brazil. Such a lovely way to see the locals' side of things and also meet cool new amigos.

Music, Movies, and Books
My most played albums on my ipod are of Jack Johnson, Elton John, Green Day, Matchbox20 and Imogen Heaps. I really like classic rock too.
I can never remember what my favorite book is when people ask me... but I love reading.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Once while I was earning hours for my pilots license, I had the opportunity to co-pilot a helicopter (Sikorsky s76) up the coast of California. Not many people get that perspective of the coast... so beautiful!
While in Rio de Janeiro, I got to go hanggliding over Tijuca National Park. The flight was breath taking, but the best part was developing a great friendship with my pilot and his wife. I've visited them several times. It was very special to me when they told me they considered me a friend, rather than just a tourist passing through. I look forward to returning to Rio very soon to see them again, and hopefully I'll learn how to fly with them!
