About Me

CURRENT MISSION

enjoying life while attempting to save up enough money for a trip around the world...and travel as much as I can in the meantime.

ABOUT ME

i'm a curious and open-minded hedonist who loves meeting new people, learning about different cultures and places and languages. ;) I'm constantly wanderlusting. I sometimes wish my life was a musical so I could randomly break out in song whenever I feel like it and people would just join in. :P
At the moment I work at the airport in Zurich. Being surrounded by aeroplanes all the time doesn't exactly cure my wanderlust and I often don't know where i'm going until I get there. :)

PHILOSOPHY

I'm not quite local not quite stranger, either I'm a local stranger or a strange local. :)

When life deals you lemons, make orange juice and leave the rest of the world wondering how the hell you did it.

Life is what happens while you're busy making other plans.

Four things that will not come back: the spoken word, the sped arrow, the past life and the neglected opportunities.

What really keeps me from getting what I want is not knowing what i REALLY want.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm not really surfing nor hosting too much myself, but I think it's a great way to meet locals who can tell and show you the secrets spots or just some of their personal favorites of the place they call their home. I'm not able to host a lot these days cause of my very irregular work schedule, but you can always try me, and even if I'm unable to host I might still be able to make some time to show you around or go for a drink and chat. :)
NOTE: I only host people with their profiles filled out completely, I would at least like to have somewhat of an idea of whoever's coming to stay at my place.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couchsurfed in South America, Germany and the US and hosted in Basel and Zurich...the people I met through couchsurfing are all amazing and some I consider good friends now!!! ;)...I'm looking forward to meeting many more amazing people

Interests

well...where to begin:

traveling (duh!) and anything related to it...discovering new places, cultures, languages, etc.etc.

music...i don't actively make it myself (unless you count singing in the car or shower) i certainly could not live without it, not even for a day. i love going to concerts and music festivals and there's constantly music on when i'm home or in my car or on the train or wherever

food...mostly the eating, but i do enjoy cooking myself. I'm from a foodie family (my mom and my brother are both chefs :). And of course a good glass of wine and or beer are important companions for a perfect meal :P

i have loads more interests, but i guess those are the top 3. :) and I'm always open to discover interests I didn't know I had :)

Music, Movies, and Books

MUSIC: The Beatles, Queen, Florence & The Machine, Orishas, Radiohead, Muse, Coldplay, Travis, Arctic Monkeys, Emeli Sandé, Patent Ochsner, Tracy Chapman, Manu Chao, Jack Johnson, Balthazar, Of Monsters;Men, The Black Keys, Foo Fighters, Feist, Zaz,...and the list goes on and on!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There's definitely more than one.

Flying in a two-seat plane around the alps.

Heading to the States for five days and somehow making it to 6 states within that time.

Salar de Uyuni in rainy season.

Quad biking in the desert in Namibia and in the muddy rainy forest in Bali.

And the list goes on and on...

learn: anything you're willing and able to teach me! :)(I really really really wanna learn how to play the guitar)

share: a lot! i guess...anything i know...mostly travel adventures and airport anecdotes...and whatever comes to my mind.
