Hi and welcome to my profile! I live in Oslo, Norway after spending 14 months in the Faroe Islands working with seaweed farming and biorefinery.

No room for couchsurfers in the flat I'm sharing with 3 others, but I might be able to help in an emergency.

The past years I've had a mainly vegetarian/vegan lifestyle, but I'm no fanatic.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It is a good platform for meeting open-minded social travellers. I experience the community as generous and with interesting stories to tell. I'd much rather be a visitor than a tourist!

Interests

My long term goal is to live on a sailboat and decrease my carbon footprint. However, I can't sail and don't own a boat, so wish me luck!

Music is a big part of me. I often go to concerts, ranging from hardcore and progressive metal to opera and jazz. I sang in the university choir in Dresden, which allowed me to take part in two major concerts.

Since 2009, I've really enjoyed walking around with my camera. I particularly like landscape photography, although b/w portraits are fun if I can find willing subjects.

I've practiced Brazilian Jiu Jitsu since April 2018.
