About Me
Hello there!
I'm a 28 year old german fellow, who finished his studies (political science) end of 2018. Now that I have time and no immediate obligations I want to go on a longer journey. There is the loose goal to arrive some day in Georgia or even Iran, but no definite plan exists where to go and what to see on the way - just my resolutions to take my time, no rushing, getting into touch with local people and traveling overland.
Personally, I would consider myself to be an open, calm and curious mind, eager to meet new people and explore new environments. Small talk isn´t my expertise, rather I enjoy lively honest communication - I value sharing personal matters as well as discussing beliefs, worldviews or political topics.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
So far, Couchsurfing has been the best opportunity to get in touch with local people - staying at hostels and likewise accomondations often felt like living in a "backpacker bubble". I like to connect to people, taking time for real conversations and activities - all experiences which i connect to previous couchsurfing experiences.
Interests
I like to spend my time with people in a relaxed way, a perfect example would be an extended coffee in a cosy environment at noon, chatting and forgetting the time. Besides this chilled side of mine, there is also a very playful part, you can allways get me with a round of board/card games or some sportive activity.
Furthermore, I value food in general and cooking a lot, if time and money allows I try to follow a healthy (vegetarian) lifestyle. Going to foreign food markets and getting to know new cuisines is one my favorite things about traveling
And last but not least, I´m interested in all sorts of "political" or "philosophical" topics and allways up for open exchange and disscuisons - especially curious for critical, feminist, post-colonial and discourse perspectives. That brings me to reading and listening quite some books and podcasts, though I also like more "entertainment" oriented media form time to time.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music is very important to me, though I´m more on the "passive" consumption side than on the active producing. If I go out electronic music, techno and suchlike is my music of choice. At home I listen to more chilled music, triphop, oldschool american hiphop and calmer electronic stuff - though I´m not very keen on limiting my input on specific genres, allways open for new recommendations!
What I Can Share with Hosts
If you want to, I love to cook for other people (Though not the old german kitchenstuff, my expertise is vegetarian)! And if you are interested in german culture / language, I`ll share my knowledge as well. Besides that, I hope to share a good conversation with you!
