PHILOSOPHY

I do not possess a philosophy in which I can move as the fish in clear water or the bird in the sky. All that I possess is a duel... and something bigger than a philosophy: A reason for living !

But what it is ?? Knowledge ? Love ? Dragonflies ? Just ask when you get there.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

As most of people I guess. I host when I can. I surf when people can host me.

But for me Couchsurfing is not a way to "save money" when I travel. There is lot of reason to prefer couchsurfing than hostel, and the money is really the last one. I want you to tell me why you're doing this when you send me a request ! And I want to have no doubt that peole I host have read my profil page, so include the word "Pikachu" in your request :)

I recieve a lot of request and can't host everybody, so this is a little trick to filter people who only copy/cut the same request...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm still here. Even if this website is worse and worse.
Fortunately it's only the website, people here are still amazing !

Interests

----- Nature, sports, games :
I really like outside and non-competitive sport, like sailing, diving, biking, running, rock-climbing, skiing.
I love competitive team sport when the team atmosphere is great and friendly, volleyball and rugby !

And don't ask me to play squash or chess : I will tryhard to beat you. I don't like too lose at this one.

I love play all kind of new or traditionnal board game. Teach me one please !

As surprising as it can be at this time in my profil... I love video game too. It's so cliché but I don't care. Damn it's so good.

----- Arts :
Arts is about sharing emotion with people. Fear, anger, are emotion too. And they are harder to share than love or joy without "hurting".
I'm not a fan of horror movies, I just love old ones. New ones are really too scary for me, sensible little thing. But I LOVE horror stories !

Every music gave me emotion. I love blackmetal, dubstep, and even each year summer bullshit tube :)

I'm passionate about what you can do when you combine science and art. Mapping video or anamorphose are amazing !

But most of all, create !
I compose and improvise on piano. And I really want to know in your request if you love to create anything : Paint, crafting, music, funny hat, etc.

----- Eco-travel backpacker :
Hitch-hiking, car-sharing, couchsurfing, wwoofing, camping, language immersion;

Tourist and traveller are not the same people, not at all. You can do both, as I did, and keep you traveller soul.

That's why I prefer host people for more than one night. One day and night is not just enough to discover someone's or somewhere's soul.

----- Learning :
With internet, you can learn without end :
E-learning, MOOCs, independent continued studies, interactive didactic, blended learning, gamification, etc;
But, you'll never learn so much than when you are DOING stuff. So close your computer and start travelling...
If you're on this website, you already found one of the most precious university in the world !

----- Lifestyle :
Well-Being focus: Daily sport, flexitarien, non-smoker, non-drinker, consomaction, big fan of power-nap.
I'm not an angel. Not at all. But I love to take care of me. My body is precious to me. And I care about mother earth too and know that I don't want too participate without trying my best to reduce my impact on her.

----- Events :
All stuff who destroy everyday routine. We do not need external drug or substance to have fun. Our own body have his own : Adrenaline, Oxytocine, Dopamine, Phenetylamine, Endorphins, Serotonine, etc. And an event, by definition, is something extraordinary, so your body will respond to extraordinary situation by extraordinary physical and emotional responses.

As I said, I'm a part time murder, and I the other half of the time I'm organising participating events.
