CURRENT MISSION

Having (more or less) mastered the "being parents" thing, we now decided to buy an old house and renovate it -- big mission !

ABOUT ME

Nico is a young, easy going frenchman, interested in many things, from nature to building engineering, music, good food and meeting people.

"I try to be funny, but since I'm the only one to laugh at my jokes, I didn't get any confirmation...yet."

Roxana, originally from Austria, grew up in four different countries and so got the taste of traveling. She laughs a lot, loves to love people, nature, animals and life!

Both have been parents to a little boy and girl for some time now and are looking forward to renovating and moving into their new house.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We traveled through Australia and Bali sleeping on many couches and enjoyed the experience very much.
As soon as our living situation allows it, our couch will be more than happy to join this great family.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Having travelled through Australia and Bali for roughly four months, we surfed quite a few couches and never once had a bad experience !

We're now looking foreward to hosting people ourselves, and get to know the "other side" of CouchSurfing :-).

兴趣

Ouch, many things :

- We both love to travel around and discover places and people. When we found out about this common interest of ours, we decided to go on a road trip together.

- Animated pictures, more commonly known as "films" or "movies", watched in dark-big-screen-movie-theaters or in fluffy-cushion-home-arrangements, are absolutely indispensable for a living.

- Nico likes to eat, and he enjoys to cook from time to time. He also enjoys a beer or two, and will be happy to taste some Australian ones...

- Roxana rarely leaves the house without a camera...be it the little compact digital for everyday snaps, or the more talented reflex camera, for when it's worth carrying the weight.

- Listening to Nicolas play the accordion, is nice. Turns out, accordeon-playing can be contagious, Roxana already caught the virus!

- More recently we both discovered the joys of parenthood...now, of course, our biggest interest is our growing family !

Movies : Into The Wild by Sean Penn, 99F by Jan Kounen, City Of God, , 2001 Space Odyssea and every other Kubrick's movies, Lord Of War, Whale Rider, The Rabbit Proof Fence, The Last Trapper... (Nico does also like a lot of underground movies (ever heard about Tetsuo ?) but the list would be too long)

TV-series : The Wire (best show ever in my opinion), Misfits (that was fun), Lost (started well but ended.. well, too late), The Shield (yummy), Dexter, Person of interest...

Books : The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger, Every Frederic Beigbeder's books (french nihilistic writer), The Hitchhiker's Guide To Galaxy...and recently The Spin, the best SF-book I've ever read.

Music : Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Bach, Chopin, Pink Floyd, AC/DC (actually, any Classic Rock from the 60s-70s), Air, a lot of movie soundtracks, many underground electro band (from Justice to Chinese Man)... we both love live concerts !

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Nico : "I went down the Dead Lowland (a Swiss glacier) with my snowboard and a friend. We were alone, the weather was bright, the snow was powdery... I was living every skier's dream !"

Roxana : "Giving birth to our beautiful little baby boy. I don't think anything will ever be as amazing to me, as holding him in my arms for the first time !"
...well, years have past and another baby has come into the world, I must say, it was at least as amazing as the first time !

教，学，和分享

Nico can teach accordion or a bit of guitar. If it helps, he knows a bit of engineering in energy, in case your planing on building a house :-) !

Roxana can teach you some Hebrew. People often like to know how to make little affectionate (or a bit less affectionate !) declarations in a language not everyone is fluent in...
