ABOUT ME

Hey there :)
My name is Nico, I'm from Germany and I'm in the middle of my "Around the world tour" including the three main "work&travel-countries" Australia, New Zealand and Canada since I can't afford this little dream of mine without making some money while I wander freely through the world... I have already spend a year abroad visiting a high school in Winnipeg, Canada and now it's been another 6 months in Australia, so the language shouldn't be a problem. Given that I live in the centre of europe, I have also traveled around here quite a bit including England, Spain, France, Bulgaria, Croatia, Bulgaria and most recently I visited my Belgian friend I got to know in Canada, who lives close to Brussels.

PHILOSOPHY

"Ships are not made to rest in a habour" is a selfmade saying that I can relate to very well, making me the metaphorical ship ;) after spending a year abroad I can not ignore this strong urge to go out and see more of the world!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I live with my Parents at the moment and as long I am still here we are willing to offer our couch for this community aswell, due to the lack of english knowledge they wont accept anyone in the year I am gone.. I myself hope to find some nice couches, belonging to even nicer owners :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I just had my first few experiences and so far all of them were very positive! I'm looking forward to meet more nice and interesting people :)

Interessen

I am very into sports and enjoy trying out new ones... currently I'm playing Tennis, Tabletennis, do Karate and have dancelessions once a week. I also do like to stay fit by working out with my friends at my local gym :) I would also consider Photography as one of my hobbies

Musik, Filme und Bücher

I'm a big fan of well thoughtout movies, which do not necessarily need to distract with over the top effects.. Some of my all time favourites are Good Will Hunting,Saving Private Ryan, Shutter Island, Inception (pretty much all Leonardo Dicaprio movies are great), Fight Club, Se7en, Troy (same thing with Brad Pitt apparently), Lord of the rings, Reservoir Dogs, Pulp fiction, Memento..

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

Going on a Snowmobiling tour over a variety of frozen lakes, in Canada including going Icefishing at minus 35 degrees Celsius... Despite the fact that we ones almost broke in (pulling a broken iceline behind me without realizing it at first) and hadd to avoid a pack of wolfs, it was a feeling of pure freedom :)

I'm obviusly capable of teaching everyone German who is interested, despite that I have advanced knowledge of Photoshop, ilustrator and various other graphic design programms and I LOVE teaching people how to dance :)
