CURRENT MISSION
live my politics
ABOUT ME
Hello! I am a 25 year old German-American hairy-legged, polyamorous, bicycling, dancing, book reading, debating, singing, cooking, chocolate eating fiend. I grew up on a subsistence farm in Santa Cruz, California and in a small village in Germany... there's been lots of cooking, gardening, kraut making, befriending of chickens, and cooking for the hordes in this one's past. I've been lucky enough to bike about Europe a great deal, work in Berlin, Germany, and to live in both Quito, Ecuador and Santiago, Chile [touring capitals, I guess. Maybe this explains some of my disenchantment with electoral politics].
I just moved to Poestenkill NY (it's near Albany) to start an post-left anarchist land project focusing of forest gardening (the creation of forest gardens and teaching of courses on the subject through the gift economy) on 94 acres in the middle of nowhere [read: lots of gardening, cooking, hiking about in the woods trying to learn the difference between various mosses and foraging foods, discussing philosophy, house renovating projects, alternative building projects, fermenting projects, and such. I am very excited about it.
I travel fairly often to NYC to make money, go to anarchist book fairs, and visit people, maybe you could be one of those people!
If I could do one thing for the rest of my life I would somehow skinny dip in a beautiful river/cuddle/dumpster dive/ferment/cook food/eat dark chocolate/dance/sing/spend time with old friends/kiss someone that I love/obsessively do art projects.
PHILOSOPHY
Tell the people you love that you love them.
Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I couch surfed in Paris and Toulon as part of a an extended bike trip and had a lovely time. At some point I'll have stable home with massive kitchen and a couch (as well as window seats!) that I can offer up. That's the dream.
But who needs dreams... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sClhmDN5Fcs
Interessen
I love to cook, bake, ferment (pumpernickel bread, sauerkraut, pickles, tempeh, kefir, yogurt, booze...) sing (mostly folk music from Ireland and Germany), dance (salsa, swing, etc), talk about [anti]politics and history, go on hikes and bike tours, forest garden, swim in rivers, learn languages, read good books, and meet new people.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe
Went scuba diving on the Great Barrier Reef.
Biked across France, over Corsica, through Italy, and from Berlin, Germany up to Copenhagen, and from Berlin to Budapest whilst camping in the woods and eating masses of lentils and foraged nettles with cheese and bread.
Lehren, lernen, teilen
I can share how to make really good quiche, sing rounds, organic garden, and use a flogger.
I want to learn: new languages, more anarchist theory, which plants to eat and which to use as medicine, to make good alcohol, to blues dance better, to make my own clothing, and to play accordion.
