About Me

I am a curious person and a lover of all things cultural. I would love to travel the world and see everything! Every single time I have couchsurfed it has been an amazing experience.

As a surfer I am respectful, clean, thoughtful, and enjoy giving back in someway to my host if I am able (such as a small gift, buying or making dinner, etc). If my host has time I like to get to know them and if they have the interest it is nice to see some sights or experiencing the city together. But I do not expect them to be a free hotel or tour guide. I always want the experience and interactions to be mutually enjoyable.

As a host I hope to give surfers the same amazing experiences I have had, to the best of my ability. Due to my work schedule and occasionally working out of town I am not always able to host and even if I am, I may not have a lot of time to spend with you. So please be clear in your requests what your plans and expectations of me as a host are. Some people expect a tour guide and that won’t happen if I am working that day. Also, I live near Yosemite so in the spring and summer months I tend to get several requests each day. I don’t always have time to read each profile thoroughly. What I do check are references. If you have few or no references then please send a decent surf request. If you don’t know how to write one, the website gives this advice out! I am not on Couchsurfing to be a free hostel to you and your friends and I am also not on here to hook up. For those of you who write considerate requests, I thank you :D

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite music is rock but I really love to go to live shows and will likely go see any genre live. My favorite concert I attended last year was St. Lucia, not a very well known band but very talented and fun. I don’t watch a lot of movies because I tend to watch more TV series. When I do watch movies I tend to go for independent or international films, Pedro Almodovar is my favorite film director. I love books, mysteries are my guilty pleasure.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiked up Adams peak in Sri Lanka!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can help English learners with their English, especially if you speak Spanish because I understand it fairly well. I can also teach about gardening, my favorite hobby. I like to cook but my cooking may not be for everyone, but if I am making dinner I will always be happy to share. If you are hosting me in your home, I would love to help cook a meal! Learning new recipes and techniques is always interesting to me.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can help give travel advice for many nice areas along the Pacific coast. If you are coming to Yosemite or Sequoia National parks I would love to host you in my home. I am always happy to help with cooking, cleaning, gardening. I can share stories, fun, laughter, adventures.
