About Me

Not currently hosting due to two elderly dogs with health problems, but happy to be a guide around Kansas City.

I am a dedicated learner, teacher, and traveler. I work professionally with people from all over the world as an ESL instructor (English as a Second Language). I'm a native of Kansas City, Missouri, USA and eventually return to it no matter where I travel. I'm happily married to my favorite travel partner who is also a native of the Midwest of the U.S.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe the best part of travel, even if it's just around your block, is meeting other people and getting a new perspective on life. I've received amazing hospitality in my travels, and I like to return the good karma. I'm also super frugal. Couchsurfing is the best of all these things.

Interests

When I'm not teaching or learning languages, I enjoy a few other things: music (listening mostly), cooking, eating, dance, yoga, reading, art, gardening, walking, bicycling, trying new things, and hanging out with friends.
