ABOUT ME

Hello CS community!

I am a 35-year-old guy from The Netherlands with a passion for traveling, like a lot of peope here:) After obtaining my highschool degree I decided to study Human Geography, which stimulated my appetite for traveling even more. I have been an exchange student at the University of Oklahoma, participated in an AIESEC internship in Russia and finished a 2-year Master’s called Euroculture.

Currently living in Utrecht and working for Utrecht university. I am always open to new experiences and people and am very much looking forward to what life has to offer!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am interested in learning and teaching languages. At the moment I am studying Swedish and Turkish and participating in couchsurfing meetings.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I was couchsurfing in Istanbul in 2010 and had such great experiences with the people there that I decided to continue couchsurfing. During my exchange semester in the US I met some really nice couchsurfers in the United States, whom I still consider to be my friends. Time and time again it has proven itsef to be a great social network and a fun experience, wherever I went.

-Seeing the incredible starry sky in Oklahoma
-The midsummernight in Murmansk.
-Being in the beautiful city of Aleppo in Syria in 2010, which is now destroyed as a result of the war.
