My name is Niek van der Schans. I recently moved back to the Netherlands after living in Australia for 2,5 years. I've spent the last few years working and traveling all over the world. I have one more 'gap year' till I start studying in Antwerp next year and I hope to spend the next few months seeing more beautiful places and meeting more amazing people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've never had the chance to try out couch surfing but I've heard a lot of good things about it from fellow travellers. I love meeting new people (especially locals), so I've decided to finally give it a try and hopefully make some new friends!

Interests

In my spare time I like to hang out with friends, watch movies, and listen to music.
I like to go out with my friends, have friends over at mine, or go clubbing . I like going to festivals, explore new cities and the outdoors.
I'm into design, art and photography and do some occasional modeling.
Finally, of course I love to travel. I've lived in Sydney, traveled most of Australia, traveled the world for six months some years ago and I've seen most of Europe.
