ABOUT ME

Hi couchsurfers,

this is our joint account. We're Ruth and Niel, a couple from Belgium. We've been together over 13 years now and absolutely love traveling. In 2009 we managed to escape the daily rut as we set out for 10 months. We traveled from Mexico City to Buenos Aires, all by bus.

After our amazing journey we settled in Antwerp, our new base from where we try to plan our trips abroad. We've had some great couch surfing experiences on the road and look forward to receiving folks in our home!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We're pretty new on couchsurfing, we recently moved and now have a spare room available.

If you are looking for a guide around Antwerp, feel free to send a message. If you wanna get to know the history of Antwerp a bit more and you are on a budget, Niel is a guide for 'Antwerp by bike' so he can show you around the town.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Our first CS-experience couldn't have been better: We stayed at Amy's place and she really made us feel at home in her sweet apartment in Amsterdam!

Our second stay was in Riga with Daiga and Artis, two veteran CS'ers. We had a great time as they even hosted us at Artis' parents home for a night.

And on a recent trip to Czech Republic, Germany, Slowakia and Austria, we stayed with multiple couchsurfers. All great people!

Besides finding each other in the world haystack? Traveling from Mexico City to Buenos Aires in 10 months, seeing over 15 countries, sleeping in over 100 towns and cities, meeting dozens of awesome people and seeing the most amazing places on the continent... I think that qualifies.
