I am a 32-year-old English and Spanish teacher, living in the suburbs of Washington DC. I grew up in Utah. I live with my girlfriend/partner and an old tomcat. I enjoy cooking, eating, reading, writing and playing music, trail running, farming, swimming in cold water, riding my bike.

Some of my favorite artists or bands are Daft Punk, Radiohead, Neil Young, The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Frank Ocean, Talking Heads, Leonard Cohen, Big Thief, Alex G. I also enjoy classical music and jazz. My favorite novel is Miguel de Cervantes's "Don Quixote", favorite poet is Li-Young Lee, favorite play is Henrik Ibsen's "Brand". I teach literature primarily, so I read quite a bit for work. My favorite filmmakers are Satoshi Kon, Richard Linklater, Terrence Malick, Park Chan-wook, The Coen Brothers, Celine Sciamma, Jackie Chan, Pedro Almodovar. I also love the movie Shrek 2.
