CURRENT MISSION

To travel around the world on my bicycle and meet as many people on the road as possible. Cycling is one of the most intense and environment-friendly ways to travel. I hope to cycle across all 6 continents some day. Currently I'm cycling from North Cape to Cape of Good Hope.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to meet and stay with local people while I cycle through your country. Bicycle touring can be lonely sometimes and therefore its great to share experiences with after a long day in the saddle.

Interests

Very broad interest I would say. I know a bit about a lot. Things I particularly like are bicycle touring, sustainability, sports, travelling, hiking, learning new things.

Music, Movies, and Books

I really like all kinds of music, as long as it is not too loud (Spanish, pop, indie/folk, alternative rock). I like to watch a Netflix series every now and then, but I also love to watch other people's bicycle touring videos. If I read, I prefer non-fiction books about basically any topic (travel, astronomy, physics, economics, philosophy).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One amazing thing I'm currently doing is filming my own bicycle tour from the Netherlands to North Cape and all the way to South Africa. I filmed my previous two shorter bike tours as well and I really enjoyed it. Plus, my friends and family enjoyed it as well.

What I Can Share with Hosts

People say I'm an easy guest. I can have a conversation about basically any topic. If there is some work to be done around your home, I might be able to help a hand. I helped hosts with painting and cutting trees before. But above all, I can share my experiences of travelling by bicycle!
