Hello, nice to meet you :) My name is Niels and I´m 20 years old, even though most people think that I´m a little younger. I am not a person who wants to attract the full attention, and therefore I seem to be a bit quieter to strangers. But after getting to know someone, I spend the best time with my friends. Since I am a fan of long-term friendships, I try to keep in touch with my friends as often as I can, even if they live on the other end of the world.

One thing that I love most about my life is travelling. It´s great to know other cultures and people from all over the world. Every time I´m travelling I feel free and have the feeling, that the Country I´m travelling in, is my home. By Couchsurfing everyone has the chance to meet different people and hopefully make new friends. The first point on my bucket list is to have been in 100 countries. I hope I have achieved this someday.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have not signed up for couchsurfing, just because I don´t want to spend any money for accommodation. I must say that it is a great side effect, but there are much better reasons. You will learn the most about a country, if you know the people. Moreover, you can share recipes, talk about your travel experience and get informations for your next journey. I could write much more about it, but to keep it short - Couchsurfing is great for everyone who likes to travel and get to know people from different countries.

Music, Movies, and Books

The last time I wrote about my hobbies, favourite music or movies, I was in the primary school. Actually I don´t have special favourite music, movies or books. It depends on my mood what I want to watch, listen or read. I think it´s boring if you are always listening to the same music, watching just horror movies or something like this. But I can give you one good recommendation - you should really watch " The Intouchables" - it´s such an amazing and heartwarming movie. I don´t want to spoil, so take your time, relax on your sofa and enjoy this great movie.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was 16 years old, I lived for a year in Thailand. It was an incredible experience and has opened my eyes to some things in life . Through this stay, I had become addicted to travel. Therefore, this community is perfect for me and all other travel lovers .

Teach, Learn, Share

My favorite subject is traveling. Since not all my friends share the same interest, I enjoy every moment when I can talk to other people about it. I find nothing more exciting than to know how other people see the world and what they have experienced so far.
Also it´s always funny to teach and learn different languages. And if you might come to Germany one time, it would be a good advantage for you to know the basic knowledge.
