Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Unfortunately, in a one-room-appartement, I can't offer a sleeping opportunity.
However, hanging out for a nice meal or other activities would be great.
I enjoy meeting new and interesting people if my work schedule allows it.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
The experience that surprised me most was a few years ago when I wanted to do a city trip to Cologne. No official couchsurfing, but it deeply impressed me when a girl I have never met before offered me a place to sleep while I stay in Cologne. When the time of my planned trip came closer I contacted her to let her know, that I will be on my way in a couple of days. She said she would go on holiday herself spontaneously and won't be at home at all. But I was still welcome to sleep at her place. We met hours before she was leaving, she gave me her keys and all and I lived in her apartement while she went on holidays.
February 2008: 1st official couchsurfing - Stayed 5 nights at Guillaumes place in Budapest. Felt at home and met great and lovely people. Incredible how well this works!
