About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Ready to fully explore every opportunity that life has to offer

ABOUT ME

I'm a modern t-shirt and jeans entrepreneur who manages an international product development and distribution company. I enjoy inventing new products that help and protect people. My work allows me the flexibility to work from wherever I want. Meeting new people is actually a critical part of helping me develop new products. My couches are your couches, one of the reasons I bought them is because I can sleep comfortably on them and I'm 6'5" tall.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is best approached with an optimistic attitude, it just makes every day a little easier and a whole lot more exciting.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My job allows me to work from anywhere with a wireless internet connection for my laptop. I look forward to exploring new parts of the world and meeting great new people. I'm also very interested to help you explore beautiful North Carolina, stop by and we'll explore this great state.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

During college I used to plan weekend trips to just about anywhere that I could find a place to crash for the night. That usually meant that I drove to see where my college friends were from and met their families. It was a great way to explore and travel without having to worry too much about expenses and I got to meet lots of new people. I know road trip and travel for fun every few weeks.

Interests

Dogs, home brewing, camping, backpacking, bicycling, hiking, running, skiing, cars, classic cars, MGs, hybrids, Top Gear, music, movies, traveling, computers, entrepreneurship and inventing new things.

Music, Movies, and Books

Top Gear Magazine, Pandora Radio, NPR, They Might Be Giants, Jonathan Coulton, Barenaked Ladies, Muse and a whole bunch of other stuff.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I got to stand on the taxiway at Oshkosh AirVenture just a couple dozen feet from an F-15 as it took off at full afterburner. Lets just say that it took my breath away.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a hybrid driver so if you want to get the best mileage drive your car like you're riding a bicycle. Get up to speed fairly quickly then keep it steady, slow down gradually as you go up hills and then pick up speed slowly on the downhills. Drafting trucks helps too. My personal best is 100mpg from Detroit, MI to Syracuse, NY on less than one tank.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm happy to help show you around Burlington and Elon. Over the past 12 years I've come to love these communities and always enjoy helping others appreciate the hidden gems here.
