About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Just nearing the end of 2 years and 4 months working and travelling abroad.. current mission: get back in touch with all my cousins who have grown up without me, have a few drinks with some long lost family and friends. Planning to teach english next year
ABOUT ME
I got a job straight out of college and was getting used to the steady income after one year.. then came an important decision in my life..to travel with my friends or accept a 3 year work contract. I chose to travel, got a one way ticket to Japan and New Zealand and let chance take me.
Had the best time of my life with close friends and new friends, started enjoying the outdoors like never before(thanks new zealand), and lost interest in becoming a salary man.
Joined the JET program in 2012 and now teach as an English ALT in Fukui.
PHILOSOPHY
Enjoy your life, and experience the world. We live in probably the peak of our civilization, with money our parents couldn't have dreamed of, opportunities for travelling and working easier than ever before, and it won't be long before the world is one homogenous blob of sameness (have you seen all the KFC/Subway/McD in India/CHina?).
Try and understand the world we live in!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I heard a lot of good things about 'CS' from friends and travellers. In a world where most doors are locked, why not try to bring back that strange notion of community our parents used to tell us about in their stories of the good old days.
Not having my own place I can't host, but I will definitely be willing to meet up and show fellow travellers around my lovely hometown.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
15 day trip on motorbikes across Rajasthan in India with a close mate.. We felt every kilometre, worried about every bump, got lost a few times and met some of the friendliest and generous people I've ever seen who helped us out with food/repairs(lots of these)/directions/tea... the list is endless.. That trip represents everything travel means to me; adventure, friendship, adversity, independence, and most important the endless kindness and generosity of local people
