About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To observe and experience all the variety there is in this world. To be forever curious.
ABOUT ME
I'm still teaching these days but via Skype so I'm home most of the time with classes at all hours of the day and night. Loving it, by the way! Wonderful to meet and work with people in so many different places.
PHILOSOPHY
Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Love thy neighbour as thyself.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
While in Korea, I enjoyed giving up my couch/living room floor a few times. It may not be possible to do this where I am now but we'll see.
Interests
-understanding what makes learning English so difficult for many of my students;
-finding out what and why people think the way they do;
-cooking for friends.

Music, Movies, and Books
J. S. Bach and others. Almost any kind of music except heavy metal, grunge, wall-of-sound, and Musak. It's just noise to me and I don't like mindless noise. Most recent favourite book: Music in the Castle of Heaven. That book was last year. This year, so far, it's Daughters of the Samurai: a Journey from East to West and Back Again and Obioma Chiozie's book, The Fishermen.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Living in Korea was amazing. Still missing some of the friends I made there plus the food and Jeju oranges.
Countries I’ve Visited
Japan, Malaysia, Singapore
Countries I’ve Lived In
South Korea
