About Me
____READ FIRST____
- As I believe that this platform is more and more turning in to a money machine, I have been settling over to other, non-commercial hospitality platforms. Mentioning the specific websites would violate the CS guidelines, but a quick Google search for "couchsurfing alternatives" will reveal them. Find me there with my full name, and I'd be happy to accept your request. Thanks!
- Only personalized requests will be answered, see "My home" section.
____GO ON____
Hello there! I describe myself as an open minded, uncomplicated and spontaneous person. Quite often I don't seem like having a plan, but still, mostly I end up the right way somehow :) Growing up near the capital of Switzerland, I lived in Zofingen for a while, a small town near Lucerne. For study and work I have been living in Zurich for the last several years.
My philosophy is, that we are all a part of the same thing, so somehow we are all connected to each other and to everything else. Everything that you put out there will have an effect in some way. Call me naïve, but I believe that if we meet the world with an open mind and an open heart, nothing can hurt us.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
At first, I used Couchsurfing to meet people and to surf couches during my trip to South America. End of 2012 I arrived in Brazil and wandered with my best friend the backpack around the continent. In about five months I've got a pretty intense impression of Brazil, passed quickly Paraguay and the north of Argentinia, worked a while in Bolivia and hiked Peru. During these times I've met the most amazing and crazy people, to whom I have to thank for this entire trip to have happened! And Couchsurfing did a good hand on meeting those people. The success story continued as I did several bicycling and hitchhiking trips around Europe and got to experience my home continent with different eyes by meeting locals.
Well now I'm home and happy to offer what I have. I really enjoy a piece of foreign culture at my place, and it makes me happy to help out a travelling fellow. Still though I want to stress, that at least for me, the idea of this platform is about exchange and not just about saving money. So please write me a decent and especially somewhat personal request if you want to stay at my place.
Interests
I love the nature and enjoy almost everything that has to do with it.
In summer I enjoy swimming, preferably in the lake or a river, but I also do bicycling, hiking, kajaking and rock climbing. In winter I do snowboarding, especially freeriding. Best thing EVER!!
Other than that, I really enjoy (analogue) photography, meeting friends, spending hours laughing, discussing and just having fun together.

Music, Movies, and Books
Imagine a life without music!
Books: Hemingway, Hesse, Huxley and many more.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Taking a sip of schnaps while witnessing the rising sun over the top of the world. Not the best idea at 6000m on the third day without sleep, but absolutely worth the experience!
Oh and watching an angry cop fall into a swimming pool.
