About Me

(During the academic year I'm a student in Ljubljana, where I share a room, so hosting there is impossible. That also means I'm not in my hometown much of the time. If you are planning on going through Tolmin on a weekend, you can still write to me, I might be here. :) )

-------------------------------------

Hello couchsurfers!

First, I'd really like you to read my description before writing to me, at least briefly! ;)

I'm a 20 year-old Slovenian student with lots of plans and lots of dreams. I'm an eternal optimist, a dreamer.
I engage in a myriad of activities (I'd rather not share every detail on the world wide web, if you don't mind), I am working etc. I like an active lifestyle, having lots of things to do, being on the move, but I also like taking time off, enjoying the "me time" on my own or spending time with my beloved and most important friends and family (part of which is also my super cute and mega nice half Border Collie Kali who's my favourite companion, so you're naturally supposed to be OK with her! :D)

I'm very flexible, open to new ideas and willing to do almost anything - partying and learning, being active and relaxing ... My goal is to live every day, to learn as much as I can and to make the most of my life. I also consider myself to be a very tolerant, open and liberal person. I accept different people, ideas, ways of living and believe that everyone has the right to choose how to live - as long as they don't do any harm to others. So, I'm very willing to meet different people and cultures and get to know them. I am very chatty and like debating different topics, points of view and am interested in many things so I think it's quite easy to find something to talk to me about.

According to my morals, there's one thing I do not tolerate: close-minded, discriminatory people. If you're a homophob, racist, sexist or anything similar I don't really want to have anything to do with you. So, please, don't even bother to write to me (or let me know it if I write to you). This might seem a bit rude but I encounter and confront such people daily and am not really up to welcome them in my home, a sacred place for me.
Instead of discriminating and marginalizing, I would like to help the people who cannot help themselves or who could use some help to have a better life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I made my account quite some time ago but haven't been active at all, sincerely, I kind of forgot about it. Now, not being underage anymore and starting to travel alone, I've remembered about couchsurfing and found out it's actually a very cool place to meet new people, to travel on low budget (and to make it possible to others), and to explore the world in a different way. I love meeting people who challenge me and my views, who dare to live, to love (& to get hurt) - who are not afraid of letting themselves go and live to the fullest because that's the only way you are who you can be.

Interests

As I said in my description, I am a very active person and love having a lot of things to do. I'm open to new stuff so I could say I'm interested in almost everything. Please understand that I don't like just sharing my personal life out here but am very willing to show it to you if you decide to come to my town.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: practically all genres, depends on the day, the company, the mood, but generally latinamerican music, classic rock & metal, (old school) pop and mostly NOT the modern techno dance rythms or commercial music.

Books: That's a tough one. One thing I can say for sure that I'm a Potterhead, a huge one. A fantasy book lover.
In general, I really books that let me live another life out of the ordinary and make me think at the same time. I like books that leave an impact, that transform me. Love Paulo Coelho.

Movies: Oh, wow, another tough one. If a movie involves quality acting and a good story and a meaning, I will love it.
My all time darlings: Harry Potter, The Hunger Games, Lord of the Rings
Same as with books: out of the ordinary but full of meaning. I loved Passengers. And I absolutely adore everything by Meryl Streep.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Bungee jumping! :D

Forming my own (well, my friends' and mine) charity to help people in need from my area, and participating in a volunteer camp for kids from low social classes in Spain. These two have probably been of the most amazing experiences in my life.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My knowledge of Slovenia, the languages listed above, my views and opinions of different topics. I THINK I'm quite a learned person.

Also, some typical food or food in general and the nature, the hills around my village.

+ fun, good time, joy: I'm an eternal optimist and positivist! :D
