About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To get out of my little box! To stop talking about wanting to go new places, do new things, and meet new people and actually do it.
ABOUT ME
I live in Seattle with 3 good friends, where I work full time at Easy Street records. I've been working the past few years as an intern and volunteers in music, film, and theatre organizations. I spend extra time volunteering for non-profit arts organizations. I spend tons of time going to shows, watching films, and seeing as much art and culture in the city as possible. I can't wait to meet new people, see beautiful parts of the world, and, at the risk of sounding insanely cheesy, get in touch with myself and nature.
PHILOSOPHY
Respect nature.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm totally new to this experience, so I haven't had a chance to really participate yet. In the future, I'd love the chance to host a couch, and even volunteer if I have extra time.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have yet to couch surf myself, but I'm planning a trip to Iceland in a few months, and hope to be able to do it then!

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: pop, rock, metal, world, folk, blues, jazz, early country & bluegrass, electronic, soul & funk...seriously all kinds!
I'm still learning about different types of film, but I love anything that provokes thought and emotion, makes me laugh, trips me out. I scratch my educational itch with documentaries. I generally steer clear of big budget Hollywood films, but am a big fan of tv series marathons.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am getting better and better at sharing my life experiences, which may not seem that interesting to people. But for me, being a black woman who has spent most of my life "breaking stereotypes", I think sharing my experiences is a great way to help people learn about ignorance and tolerance. Although, I don't like to preach to people. People learn these things about me the same way I learn about them; organically, day by day. And I want to learn the same about others. I'm very interested in learning languages, customs, and cultural norms. Relating to people on a deeper level.
