About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Couchsurf my way through Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama from Dec 2016!
ABOUT ME
Hi
I'm Nik, 24 years old. Born and raised in London (with Indian heritage). I'm currently working full time within the Financial Services Industry.
I am a keen traveler, being fortunate enough to backpack across both South East Asia and South America.
I love the freedom that comes with traveling. I love meeting different people, making friends from different cultures whilst having a good time. Couchsurfing in South America was a key highlight, I've met some great people who I'm still friends with. I'm keen to do this again...
I am planning a month trip to Central America in December 2015. I'm currently planning to visit Nicaragua and Costa Rica. I would love to meet locals who could show me their city/town/village through their eyes.
Current plan:
Leon-18-21st Dec
Granada- 21st Dec-25th Dec
Ometepe-25th-28th Dec
SDJC-28th Jan-2nd Jan
If you're able to hang out/host get in touch!
PHILOSOPHY
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'll be in Central America from Dec and am looking to meet new people, explore cultures and have fun.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I stayed with a Bolivian family in Sucre for 2 weeks in order to learn Spanish, it was great to hang out with the family and head out with the older members of the family for drinks, meeting their friends etc.
I started surfing properly during my time in Peru and Ecuador and had a great time learning about my host's cultures, lives alongside having some great nights out.
I've also hosted within the UK showing friends I made in South America around London.

Music, Movies, and Books
Game of Thrones, Dan Brown books. Have really developed a love for reading since travelling!
I am a fan of many types of music including RnB, Regaton, Cumbia, Indie and Dubstep music. I'm a big fan of Natiruts after listening to them non stop in Rio! I also enjoy attending festivals.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In Indonesia, I climbed an active volcano which decided to erupt just as we were leaving! It took us 6 hours to get up and just 2 to get down! Definitely the scariest but best experience of my life!!
Another would have to be in Myanmar, myself and friends cycled off around Inle Lake. We came across a village which hadn´t seen tourists before, we were welcomed in to their house for tea and spent hours hanging out and playing with the children!
Teach, Learn, Share
I am able to practice English with others who would like, aswell as teach. I spent 2 weeks teaching English in Bolivia which was really fun.
I am able to talk about both English and Indian culture for those interested.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Happy to practise English, can share knowledge about my culture. I can also potentially host when friends come to the UK showing them around.
