Overview
About Me
Always try to walk on the bright side of life! Just a small city girl living in a far bigger city, always waiting for the next chance to get out into nature, meet new people and discover what the world has to offer. I'm (perhaps sometimes over-) excitable, chatty, open to trying everything at least once, reliable and true to my word (which can sometimes land me in situations like jumping out of a plane at 12,000 feet despite a fear of heights and sleepless night spent sweating puddles in anticipation). I think nothing beats making someone else smile and laughing until you nearly pee your pants. I also love a good conversation about pretty much any topic be it over a cozy tea in, glass of wine or gin out, or a home-brewed kombucha!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To get the real experience and perspectives of places I visit, and hang out with the people that make those places what they are! While staying in hotels and following trip advisor tips can be nice, they'll never provide the same experience as someone local can, nor the memorable stories and new friendships.

Music, Movies, and Books
I have the most random music taste you'll ever meet - and potentially be disgraced by the fact that it ranges from indie-pop to electro-swing, jazz, blues, and pretty much anything with a catchy beat. I'll watch any movie that's not a horror movie (11 year old me had enough trauma from the Harry Potter basilisk and being "gifted" the Grudge to last a lifetime). I love dystopian fiction (Margaret Atwood), magic realism (think Isabelle Allende style) and most other books that fall into my lap.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I'm grateful for so many incredible things I've been able to do and experience that it's hard to narrow it down to one thing. I'd have to say climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro with a group of university friends ranks pretty high on my list - the views, different terrains, and marking the end of a years' worth of fundraising for a charity led by my friend were just incredible!
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: I can teach you how to make home-made natural toothpaste, deodorant, lip balm and kombucha (as well as some pretty tasty, vegan raspberry-chocolate brownies). Anything you want to know about my homes (both Switzerland and the UK now) - I'd be happy to share!
Learn: everything and anything - there's nothing I wouldn't like to try.
Share: I'd love the chance of practicing French or Spanish as well as conversing in German and English. I'll share all of my travel stories and plenty of clumsy day-to-day life stories, hoping that you'd feel comfortable enough to do the same with me.
What I Can Share with Hosts
My experiences, enthusiasm, an active day out or nice night in, and cooking a lip-smacking, belly-filling meal together.
